Hello, friends! I hope your holiday was cheery and bright, and I hope you aren't too groggy when you return to school, work, or what have you. I don't know about you, but I've got exams coming up in less than two weeks! (O_O) A new year means new beginnings and a clean slate, and I'm taking that to my advantage. For a majority of 2013, I was very bad about writing consistently, and this year I'm determined to change that. I used to post new chapters every day, and now it has evolved into maybe once a month. I've posted little to nothing over the past long while, but I do have a legitimate excuse. Except it's not really legitimate, because no excuses are actually legitimate. Seriously though, I've been super busy with trying to maintain my grades. (Darn you, Chemistry.) Most days, by the time I finish my homework my brain tells me I can't write anything. Which obviously isn't true; I've found I always have some of those writing juices inside of me. I've just been too lazy to try and extract them. I'm working on chapter three of The Finest Hour, and I can't decide if I want to stick to my original plan (have chapter three be the final chapter), or post what I have right now and have more chapters. I've gotten to a good stopping point for a chapter, and it's a pretty good length. I'm also somewhat happy with the pace of the plot; I wish I could go a bit slower, but there's only so much I can write about without feeling like I'm being boring.
